How do I register/sign-in?

It’s simple, select the register link at the top right hand corner and fill in your details.

If you already have a profile then enter your email address, password and log-in.

Your profile will be saved and you will not have to re-enter that information for future events.

Why can’t I enter the Community on my mobile device?

Without boring you with technical details, if you are having difficulty entering the Community on your mobile device, please use this link instead: www.cmecompete.com

What about privacy?

Your information is used only to create your race number, communicate back your results and receive periodic race updates from the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership.  Your information is not shared!

How do I form a team?

After you log in, click on the “Teams” link in your profile.  By clicking the “Add team” button, you can name your own team and then search for friends to invite to join the team.

How do I join a team?

There are two ways to join a team:

1)      If you are new to the community and registering your profile for the first time, you will see a drop down box listing all the teams.  Find your team and select it.

2)      If you have already created your profile, click on the “Teams” link and click on the “Join a team” button.  Select the team you want to join and an email will be sent to the team leader notifying them of your team request.  Check back often to see if you have been added to the team.

Can I join a team after I’ve registered?

Yes.

Can I represent more than one team?

Yes.  Currently you can be on two teams.

I formed the team, so how do I get notified of people wanting to join the team?

You will notice a notification section; this is where you will see any activity on someone wanting to join the team.  You may also receive an email but check back often as you will need to accept their request for them to join the team.

What is a Leaderboard?

The leaderboard is a fun way to see everybody’s personal accomplishment along with what teams have formed in the community and who is on what team.

What is an Activity Feed?

The activity feed is a fun part of the community to see who is registering for what race and what kind of time they think they will finish the race just in case you might want to challenge them.

Points / Challenges / Results

How do I earn points?

By registering for and completing events and by challenging yourself or a friend to improve your finish times.

What do the points mean?

They basically showcase your active accomplishments.  You earn points by completing events, and the more events you complete the more points you earn. You can then redeem your points for great prizes.

What is a personal challenge?

It’s a challenge you issue yourself.  After you have registered you have the ability to go back and issue yourself a challenge for additional points.

How are the points determined?

The points are based upon the distance of the race, for example a 10k will carry a higher point value than a 5k, and same goes for the individual challenges. Again the points are only awarded after successfully finishing a race and winning your challenge.

How can I challenge myself and/or let others challenge me?

During registration you have the option to enter a challenge time and see the points that you will be rewarded if you meet your challenge time.

You will also see a drop down box where you can select if you want to be accept challenges from others.  By selecting “Yes”, a Challenge Me! box shows up in the community feed next to your name, where anybody can challenge you.

How do I challenge others?

You will notice a Challenge Me! box in the activity feed next to a person’s name.  If you see someone you want to challenge, click that button, see their challenge time and send them a challenge request.  This button shows up only for people who indicated they wanted to accepting challenges when they registered.

When you click on the Challenge Me! box the individuals goal time will show up and this is where you can issue them a challenge.

What other challenge options do I have?

If you didn’t challenge yourself during the initial registration of the race, don’t worry.  You can still challenge yourself or a friend.  Simply click on the registered races link in your profile.

Click on the upcoming race, select the challenge link, click on “Pick user”, and either input your name or search for a friend to issue a challenge.

When you locate either yourself or a friend select them and you may see if they have an existing goal time listed that you can then challenge!

What is the “Challenges” link in my profile for?

This area of your profile shows you if you have any challenges and is used to issue a challenge to yourself or a friend.  Simply click on the Challenge Me! box and a list of races that you are currently registered for will show up and you can either challenge yourself or a friend.  If you decide to challenge a friend select “Pick user”, locate them and then add them.  You will notice they will have a goal time, if they don’t have a goal time they either have not registered for the race or they have not set themselves a challenge, but you can still challenge them!

How do I know if someone is challenging me?

You will see challenges in the activity feed, and you will receive an email request.  In response to these, or at any time, you can simply log back into your profile, select “Challenges”, and you will see an unaccepted challenger request.  You have the option to accept or decline the challenge and you will see what the challenge time is along with how many points you will be awarded if you meet the challenge.

How many challenges can I create or accept?

Currently you can accept only one challenge, either with yourself or a friend.

How do I win my challenge?

If you challenge yourself to a finishing time, you will be provided a range that you must finish within in order to win the challenge.  Be sure to remember that time range as you must finish the race within that range to be awarded more points; otherwise you will not be awarded the points.

How do I lose my challenge?

If you finish outside of your challenge time range you will not earn the points and you will notice on your runner’s profile it will show up as a loss.  So for example, if you challenge yourself to a finishing time of 48 minutes for a 10k, the range is automatically set to 47 – 49 minutes.  If you run the race in 45 minutes you will lose the challenge, even though your finishing time was better.  As you log more runs you will get a better gauge on how you think you will finish, which will help you set your challenges.

Can I lose points?

No. If you don’t meet your challenge, you just don’t earn the points.

How do I redeem points?

We will send out an email notifying you that you can redeem points for merchandise later this year. You will then be able to log back into your profile, select points and see a list of merchants, along with point values. You will then be able to click the redeem button to acquire the merchandise. Your point total on the leaderboard will not be affected, however your points left to redeem merchandise will be lowered.

How do I find my results?

After a race is over you will receive an email with the results, which will also be available at http://Run.BeltLine.org.  You can also log back into your profile, select points to see how many points you were rewarded.  You can then click on the points and it will show you your finishing time along with the ability to view everybody’s time.

By clicking the race or your points you will first see your results and how many points you were rewarded and you also have the ability to see the overall results from the race.
